Intern: Making International Development Cooperation Effective

UNRISD is now accepting applications for a three-month internship position with the project "Making International Cooperation for Development Effective". This project is being carried out in preparation for the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness being held in Busan, Korea in 2011.
While at UNRISD, the intern will be asked to carry out the following tasks:
The deadline for applications is Sunday 28 August 2011 (midnight, Central European Time) and the start date will be as soon as possible. The internship will be 3 months in length, between September and December 2011 with a possibility of extension. The exact start date is negotiable.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD degree programme (as per UN Secretariat rules regarding interns) in the social sciences (social policy is desirable);
- Knowledge of social policy research;
- Written and spoken fluency in English essential;
- Written and spoken fluency in Korean desirable;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
While at UNRISD, the intern will be asked to carry out the following tasks:
- Desk research and the provision of substantive input to the project's research papers and the preparation of a conference;
- Other publication and administrative tasks (editing, document management, photocopying, assistance with workshop preparation) as required.
